![]() ![]() These encounters have the same restrictions as a Story Boss Encounter. There are eight hidden Espers you can find in addition to the ones you collect in the main story. There are a few exceptions where you can run away and leave such as King Bomb.Įspers - Espers are both Story-related, and Optional Boss related. Optional Boss Encounters - Optional bosses from a side-quest such as the Earth Tyrant. These encounters are not repeatable with out reloading a previous save. These Bosses are any story-related encounter. Story Boss loot is limited to the Steal table only. Story Boss Encounters - You get one shot at their loot table unless you want to reload a save. Monographs are an extension of the 'Drops' method. The three methods are, Drops (killing), Steal, and Poaching an enemy. I will go over in more detail below on how this works, but first let's cover the basics.Ĭommon Enemies - This will be the method most used for finding loot. ![]() So, How Do You Get Loot?So the obvious answer is "Kill stuff". The second reason I'm not going over the 'earliest' method is that there are times that you can get certain items pretty early, but in many cases its just not worth it due to the extreme difficulty, or inaccessibility of other items needed for a given recipe.įor example getting an Loot item via a rare poach early might not be worth the time investment if the other items in the Bazaar Recipe aren't available until much later in the game. It may be a bit outdated since it was created for Vanilla, it still works just fine 95% of the time. There is already a great FAQ out there by FF12Grandmaster. Nor will I be going over the 'earliest' method. I once had a very long argument with a guy who insisted that farming Ishteen for Soul of Thamasa to make High Arcane was stupid. I'm not going to go over which is the 'best' method to get said item as it can be an extremely subjective discussion. As an old-school IZJS player, the idea of being able to farm Trial Mode for items to take into the main game takes away the challenge of the game. ![]() This is a comprehensive guide on loot found in the core game. This guide does not cover Trial Mode what so ever. What's Not CoveredIn this section I will go over what's not being covering the guide, and the reasons behind it. ![]()
